I don?t know what?s up with me and horses lately, but everywhere I go when I?m doing something for Splashing Violet I?ve been running into horse symbolism. Usually I see horses, like one day I saw a woman walking a mini horse down the street and it was in a residential area where I had never seen that before. I even thought Davy Jones was haunting me because horses were everywhere I turned and he was a Jockey lol

Last night I saw a bar called Black Horse and this song came on? when I heard the lyrics I immediately felt like omg, I hope the dog days are over ?especially with my music.

Sometimes I just feel pushed around and I don?t know what to do, where to go, or who to turn to. I believe in what I?m doing with all my heart, but sometimes you just feel beat down and lost.

I?ve paid my dues over the years, I?ve been heckled and laughed at, misunderstood and tossed aside. I just won?t accept that anymore because the music has been praised and recognized and I?m done with trying to prove myself. If you cut through all the bullshit, there is a flower blooming and that?s what I?ve got to focus on.

Something inside me is changing? and I can just feel something amazing is about to happen and by amazing it can be the simple things like just finding my comfortable place in music with my band or with other musicians. Why not fame and fortune while I?m at it?? It?s best to go for the gold too, because you won?t get there without reaching for it. People have done it, it?s not impossible? I?ll still be me.. I?ll still have a job, the only difference is that I?ll actually have an audience and that?s what music deserves.

I?m really thankful to get these little messages that remind me to keep the faith?it helps. :)

My inspiration of the day?

Happy Belated Birthday Darcy!! I had such a busy day yesterday I didn?t have time to post anything.

The weird thing is that I got hired at Univision on Darcy?s birthday and the general manager here (at that time) knew Jimmy Chamberlain of the Pumpkins and that?s partly why I was allowed to practice at Univison and become the LisaRocks I am today :)

Last July I went up to NYC for a mini vacation and I happened to see the Iron MAiden plane take off from the Newark airport as I was entering the city? I looked over and I was like does that say Iron Maiden?? lol yes it did :D
